SatixFy to Deliver Advanced Modems for 288 Landing Station Antennas across the Global Telesat Lightspeed Terrestrial Network

Telesat (NASDAQ and TSX: TSAT), one of the world’s largest and most innovative satellite operators and SatixFy, a leading provider of next-generation satellite communication and space systems based on in-house developed ASICs, today announced an agreement to deploy SatixFy baseband modem equipment for Telesat Lightspeed gateway earth stations throughout the world. The SatixFy advanced Sx3099 landing station modems will be capable of processing up to 1.6 GHz of bandwidth in each direction, supporting 10 wideband carriers, uplink power control (UPC) and adaptive coding and modulation (ACM), and network data processing. Each landing station antenna will be capable of transmitting approximately 12 Gbps on the forward link and receiving approximately 6 Gbps on the return link.

Telesat Becomes a Public Company, Marking A Significant Milestone in Support of its Compelling Growth Strategy

Telesat Corporation announced today that it is now a public company and will begin trading on the Nasdaq Global Select Market (“NASDAQ”) and the Toronto Stock Exchange (“TSX”) under the ticker symbol “TSAT”. This follows the closing of Telesat’s previously announced transaction with Loral Space & Communications Inc. (“Loral”) and Public Sector Pension Investment Board (“PSP Investments”) (the “Transaction”), in which Loral’s stockholders and Telesat Canada’s other equityholders have exchanged their interests for equity in Telesat’s new public holding structure.  Telesat did not issue new equity to raise additional cash financing as part of the Transaction.

NSSLGlobal and Telesat Announce Strategic Co-operation Agreement for Telesat Lightspeed LEO Network

NSSLGlobal, a leading independent service provider of satellite communications to the government and maritime industry and Telesat, one of the world’s largest and most innovative satellite operators, have today signed a long-term strategic co-operation agreement to collaborate on the commercial and technical aspects of Telesat’s new Low Earth Orbit (LEO) constellation, Telesat Lightspeed, initially consisting of a global mesh network of 298 state-of the-art LEO satellites that are seamlessly integrated with on-ground data networks.  Telesat Lightspeed will be the world’s most advanced LEO network, optimized to serve the critical connectivity requirements of enterprise, government and mobility customers.
