Technical Recruiter (Term Position)

As the Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for managing, executing the full life cycle recruiting, and selection process by managing all aspects of the recruitment process such as candidate sourcing, screening, pre-employment checks, offers of employment, collaborated on-boarding process. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the recruitment process including sourcing, screening, pre-employment checks, offers of employment, collaborated on-boarding process.
  • Work with management to develop recruitment strategies across the applicable business units.
  • Oversee the development of initial job description including outlining requirements for positions and ensuring the description is approved and posted to applicant tracking system.
  • Collaborate with hiring manager to develop firm understanding of position requirements, including skills and background required for the position. Provides advice and guidance to hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
  • Build candidate pipeline through targeted advertising, employee referrals and networking. Research, develops and maintains relationships with businesses, colleges, employment agencies and search firms, and other recruiters.
  • Engage passive job seekers to explore new career opportunities.
  • Review resumes and other credentials. Completes methodical pre-screening, and coordinates in-person interviews with hiring managers.
  • Complete reference checks and verifies academic and professional credentials.
  • Provides employment recommendations and prepares approval packages based on candidate qualifications, application materials, interviews, references and salary work-up.
  • Analyze the recruitment process performance, prepares the recruitment dashboards, presents dashboards, recommends changes to the recruitment process and implements changes.
  • Analyze the performance of recruitment agencies, the cost per hire, time to hire and recommends changes and improvements.

Education and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an accredited university, preference given to candidates with an engineering or computer science degree.
  • 2- 4 years of experience with a successful track record in corporate recruiting 
  • Full-cycle technical recruiting experience in IT Infrastructure, Operations, Telecommunications and or Engineering would be considered an asset for this role 
  • Bilingual French/English would be an asset for this role.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of professionalism and unquestionable integrity and work ethic
  • Sound judgment, business acumen, problem solving skills
  • Reputation for being a very strong team player and results oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience pipelining prospective candidates using a variety of tools, e.g. candidate databases, social media aggregators
  • Proven track record of effectively matching candidates to position requirements 
  • Expertise and success in building credibility with both hiring managers and candidates
  • Knowledge of technology compensation and the ability to analyze compensation packages
  • Prior experience sourcing for a wide variety of roles within a telecommunications or technical company highly desirable
  • Effective negotiator
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation
  • Exceptional ability to promote the Company and its career opportunities and to ensure a very positive candidate experience
