CHRIS DIFRANCESCO
Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Chris DiFrancesco joined Telesat as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in January 2009 and is responsible for the overall management of legal affairs and human resources for the company. Prior to joining Telesat, Chris served as Senior Vice President, Legal, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Corel Corporation. Previously, he was Associate Counsel at the National Hockey League Players’ Association and prior to that was in private practice with Gowling, Strathy & Henderson.
Chris attended the University of Western Ontario where he received his Bachelor Engineering Science (Mechanical) degree in 1986 and a Bachelor of Laws degree in 1989.
